JESCO, Inc. constructed a 318,000 square foot state-of-the-art poultry processing facility for Peco Foods on a “green field” site. At peak production, this facility has the capacity to process and package over 1.5 million ten pound broiler chickens per week.
PECO Foods is the eighth largest poultry producer in the United States. They are a privately held and family managed organization. Company wide PECO Foods processes 24 million pounds of poultry per week.
This processing facility when completed will include: live haul sheds, holding shed, live receiving, picking, maintenance office/facilities, evisceration, pre and final chiller rooms, de-bone, refrigeration engine and pump rooms, ice house, breading, fryer, and pack-out rooms, spice room, spiral freezer, negative ten degree freezer, thirty-four degree cooler, second floor box room, carton freezer, thirty-three degree shipping dock and related offices, tub wash, main office/ breakroom facilities, guard house, truck scale buildings, vacuum pump building, sewer lagoons, underground utilities, process utilities, 600,000 square feet of concrete paving, sidewalks, tank foundations, fire pump house and employee parking lot.
