Since the 1970s, Mueller Brass Company has been a long time customer of JESCO’s and together we have completed numerous additions including the original tube mill facility in Fulton, Mississippi. This 402,000 square feet facility utilized heavy conventional structural steel framing and eight to twelve inch floor slabs to accommodate heavy wheel loading. The building also consists of eighteen feet concrete tilt wall panels with metal siding above and built-up roofing (pitched to drains at the eaves).
The traditional building delivery system used for the Mueller Brass projects has been Design / Build. This approach has well served this partnership throughout the years by reducing the delivery schedule and thereby reducing disruption of processes.
JESCO’s Millwright Division performed the installation of the equipment in the original facility, which included horizontal extrusion press, billet casting, draw benches, draw blocks, finishing machines, annealing furnaces and turn machines. JESCO Millwright, also installed much of the original equipment in the fittings facility and has performed general maintenance work for this facility on a ongoing basis.
