Project Overview

JESCO provided turnkey design-build services for Lakeside Steel Alabama’s advanced steel pipe manufacturing campus in Thomasville, Alabama, delivering a fully integrated production environment across two major phases. Phase I established a 65,000 SF pipe casing plant featuring clear-span pre-engineered construction, overhead bridge cranes, and critical process equipment installations including an uncoiler, accumulator, and hydrotester. Phase II added a 55,000 SF pipe finishing plant, supporting threading, heat-treating, upsetting, and inspection operations to enable end-to-end steel pipe fabrication on-site. The project also included a 15-acre stone laydown yard and a 700-linear-foot rail spur, with JESCO’s in-house teams handling civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and equipment installation to create a production-ready facility tailored to Lakeside Steel’s operational goals.
