World-class golf resort expansion
Located on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Opelika, Alabama, the Auburn Marriott Opelika Resort & Spa at Grand National underwent a major addition and renovation to enhance both hospitality and resort amenities. Over the course of 11 months, JESCO completed the addition of a new 101-room guest wing and fully renovated 120 existing rooms, bringing the resort’s capacity to 221 luxury accommodations.
The project included a 15,200 SF renovation of the conference center, upgrades to multiple dining rooms, and a complete revitalization of the pool and outdoor entertainment complex. Guests now enjoy an upgraded poolside grill and bar, three pools, a firepit lounge, and dedicated gaming spaces. A new world-class spa and presidential suite were also added to elevate the resort’s status as a full-service luxury destination.

Project Duration: 11 months
Working within an active resort required extensive planning to minimize guest disruption. JESCO sequenced construction activities around occupancy schedules and provided phased turnover of renovated rooms and amenities to maintain business continuity. The project was delivered within budget through coordinated phasing and schedule compression to accommodate peak operating seasons. Luxury finish standards and guest comfort were maintained throughout construction.
