JESCO Celebrates National Construction Safety Week

JESCO Employees Came Together for a Week of Education, Engagement, and Renewed Commitment to Workplace Safety.

JESCO employees across the company came together May 4–8 to participate in National Safety Week, an annual industry initiative dedicated to promoting safe work practices and strengthening safety cultures throughout the construction industry.

This year’s theme, “All in Together,” emphasized the responsibility every employee shares in creating and maintaining safe workplaces. Throughout the week, JESCO team members participated in daily toolbox talks, attended lunch-and-learn sessions with guest speaker presentations, signed a Safety Pledge, and engaged in safety-themed games and activities designed to reinforce key safety principles.

The week served as an opportunity to recognize the importance of safety beyond compliance and procedures, highlighting the role that communication, accountability, and teamwork play in preventing incidents and protecting one another.

“Creating a good safety culture is more than following a list of safety rules. It involves the building of relationships to the point where we are constantly looking out for the safety of each other. Our Safety Weeks are a way of bringing us all together to help build those relationships,” said Corporate Safety Director, James Moore Brown.

For 85 years, safety has remained JESCO’s #1 core value. Across every project, office, shop, and jobsite, nothing is more important than ensuring every employee returns home safely at the end of each day. National Safety Week provided an opportunity to reinforce that commitment and recognize the role each employee plays in maintaining a safe work environment.
