Project Overview

JESCO, Inc. Construction, in partnership with Yates Construction and our design partner, provided design-build services for the Mercedes-Benz Parts Distribution Center in Woodstock, Alabama. This 1.5 million square foot facility combines advanced logistics capabilities with modern employee amenities, ensuring efficient operations and a high-quality work environment.

The two-story office area includes a canteen, locker rooms, a yoga studio, a gym, 12 conference rooms of varying sizes, and two elevators integrated into the stair towers.

Material handling equipment (MHE) fueled by hydrogen, serviced by two fueling stations (one requiring a firewall due to space additions)

Floor Storage (430,000 SF): Accommodates oversized parts such as bumpers and headliners
Racked Storage (450,000 SF): Includes 8-high racks, three-level mezzanine bins, HAZMAT racking, and lithium-ion battery storage

Employee Amenities

Modern locker rooms and conference spaces

This distribution center significantly enhances Mercedes-Benz’s parts logistics network in North America, combining high-volume storage, precision inventory management, and efficient loading/unloading systems in a single, fully integrated facility.
