JESCO, Inc. constructed a 318,000 SF state-of-the-art poultry processing facility for Peco Foods, Inc., the eighth-largest poultry producer in the United States. Built on a greenfield site, this facility is designed to process and package over 1.5 million ten-pound broiler chickens per week at peak production.

The facility integrates advanced processing, refrigeration, and utility systems, supporting high-volume throughput while maintaining strict food safety and quality standards.

Site Development: 600,000 SF heavy-duty concrete paving, sidewalks, tank foundations, fire pump house, and employee parking lot.
Building Structure: Precast wall panels; structural steel columns, beams, and seismic bracing; Fibertite hybrid room system.
Processing Areas: Live haul sheds, holding shed, live receiving, picking, pre and final chiller rooms.
Cold Storage & Refrigeration: Refrigeration engine and pump rooms; spiral freezer; -10° freezer; 34° cooler; carton freezer; second-floor box room; 33° shipping dock.
Utilities & Support Facilities: Process utilities, underground utilities, stainless steel floor trenches (5,000 SF), truck scale buildings, vacuum pump building, sewer lagoon.

This distribution center significantly enhances Mercedes-Benz’s parts logistics network in North America, combining high-volume storage, precision inventory management, and efficient loading/unloading systems in a single, fully integrated facility.
