JESCO provided full design-build services for Peco Foods, Inc. on a major multi-phase development in West Point, Mississippi, combining new construction, renovation, and mechanical-electrical self-performance to deliver a state-of-the-art cold storage and further processing facility. Phase I included the renovation of a 188,500 SF cold storage warehouse (formerly Freezer Services), which involved debris removal, demolition of obsolete process equipment, racking, and office areas, USDA washdown and detailed cleaning, installation of new offices, break room, and training room, upgrades to dock equipment, dry pipe fire protection, and fire pump, addition of a generator, and structural repairs to floor slabs, glycol piping, and below-grade insulation. A new 8-inch concrete truck court and site improvements now serve as the primary truck access. Phase II encompassed the construction of a 146,500 SF further processing facility, including 10,000 SF of mezzanine space and a thermal heater building to support expanded operations. Phase III added a 28,000 SF Mega Jet line, enhancing processing efficiency and throughput.
